Daniel Robey,
ASLA, PLA
Founding Principal
Daniel is the owner and founder of Huntlands Landscape Architecture. His design aesthetic draws from a combination of experiences ranging from his upbringing in Leesburg, Virginia to past work experiences in historic Charleston, South Carolina.
Daniel is a native of Loudoun County and still resides in the western part of the county with his family. Daniel received a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Clemson University in 2002 and is a licensed, professional landscape architect in Virginia.
MIKE CONVERY
Principal
Mike looks to foster strong client relationships with clearly communicated designs, thoughtfully produced details and helpful guidance during the construction process. Mike’s design style is a perfect combination of family functionality and timeless landscape architecture.
Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Mike currently resides in western Loudoun County with his wife and four daughters. Mike received a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Horticulture from the University of Georgia in 2007.
ERIC VENCLIK,
ASLA, PLA
Principal
Eric, a graduate of the University of Guelph in Canada, has devoted much of his career to residential landscape design.
An avid outdoorsman, Eric combines his extensive knowledge of natural systems with comprehensive design and construction experience to create functional landscapes. With every project, his goal is to maximize opportunities for memorable human-nature experiences with projects ranging from roof top terraces to large country estates.
JESSE EDWARDS
Senior Associate, Master Naturalist
Jesse is a native of Loudoun County and current resident of Clarke County, Virginia. He is a proud graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
His experience draws from a long high-end residential design and project management background. With an understanding of the region’s landscape and the construction industry’s intricacies, Jesse’s experience combines to create pragmatic and thoughtful design solutions.
susan lander
Operations Manager
Susan has brought over 25 years of administrative experience to Huntlands. With her kind disposition, efficiency, and energetic attitude, she builds relationships with our clients and creates an organized base of operations. Susan is involved with the day-to-day operations of the office including invoicing, producing contracts, ordering materials and making sure the office is running smoothly.
Susan is a Loudoun County resident originally from Pittsburgh and among the legions of local Steelers fans. She loves gardening and spending time with her fiancé Jeffrey and Murphy the cat.
lou katarya
Associate
With a degree in architecture, Lou brings a new perspective to Huntlands and helps enhance the connections between landscape design and architectural planning. He is always eager to learn how to seamlessly blend the built environment into the natural landscape.
Lou originally grew up in Egypt and traveled to the states after completing his college degree. Along with keeping in touch with his family abroad, Lou enjoys writing, producing and performing original music.
